- Appraisals:
- Perform checks to evaluate the condition and worth of your piano.
- We check strings, bridges, sound board, ribs, action, keyboard, pin block, pedals, tuning pins, harp and case.
- Maintenance:
- Routine tuning, action and keyboard regulation, hammer filing, pedal adjustments, hammer voicing.
- Repairs both simple (same day) and complex (2 or more visits):
- Broken strings, notes and/or keys.
- Sticky, sluggish or sloppy notes and/or keys.
- Notes that don't ring out when struck. Notes that continue to ring out after key released.
- Bridge repairs.
- Noisy or broken pedals.
- Case problems - Lid, key cover, bottom panel, front panel, legs.
- Castor replacement.
- Overhauls and Restorations:
- These are more complex activities such as restringing, hammer replacement, bridge replacement, replacement of all
action parts, pinblock separation, key rebushing and recovering, keyboard refelting, refinishing, castor replacement,
loose sound board.
- Consultations:
- Piano placement, piano environment (humidity, temperature, best acoustics), choosing a new or used piano, cost
benefit analysis.
- Used piano sales.
